aul Hartley began his career at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in 1961 when he was 20 years of age.   He has been Superintendent of the Grounds since 1971 and General Manager of the Cemetery since 2003. 

 

Although the cemetery prides itself on its record-keeping, Paul is its greatest resource in this regard as he has an uncanny memory for people and faces, and can often remember where folks resting within the gates are located. 

 

Paul says, “I look forward to getting up in the morning and going to work.  It’s rewarding to be of service to others in their greatest time of need.  I try to make things easier for people and hope they come away from the cemetery more comforted and at peace.”

 

He is available to help you with choosing a lot, arranging for burials, designing a monument and to provide other cemetery services from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily, and on Saturdays by appointment.
