Richard Nagele is President of Advantage Marketing Information, a marketing research, strategy and public opinion polling firm. The firm uses appropriate research techniques, rigorously applied with a marketing point of view to solve problems, identify the best ways to realize opportunities, and understand reality. Where appropriate, in-depth marketing analysis is provided in order to insure maximizing the value of the insights obtained.
Nagele started his professional career with Textron. After earning a graduate degree and serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Rhode Island, Director of Marketing for Acushnet Sawmills Company and consulting as an independent, Advantage Marketing Information was organized. While at Advantage, Nagele also co-founded and served as Managing Director of an independent restaurant. During the period 2000 – 2006, sales increased from $550,000 to $1.55 million with associated increases in profitability. The restaurant won numerous awards and was profitably sold in 2006.
Nagele authored or is referenced in sixteen published articles, including work cited in the Wall Street Journal. In addition to producing two video based seminars, he has received several awards including a Governor’s Citation for service to The Rhode Island Partnership for Science & Technology, a small business consulting award from Bryant College and a Certificate of Recognition from the Central RI Chamber of Commerce.
Nagele is past Chairman of the Board of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, RI’s third largest, past Vice President, Rhode Island Hospitality Association, past Chairman of the Board of Commissioners - Kingston Fire Department, past President, Kingston Water Company and is currently a Director of The Fort Adams Trust in Newport, Rhode Island. He is a member of the North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, The Newport Chamber of Commerce, The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, American Association of Museums, the New England Museum Association, The Preservation Society of Newport County, Mystic Seaport, and a variety of other organizations.
